Several weeks ago I sent off my beloved old LLBean rain jacket to be repaired. I sent it to my friends at Rainy Pass Repair Inc. to see if they could fix the chewed up inner pocket mesh and give some life back to one of my favorite jackets.
I pretty much knew they could fix it, I wouldn’t have sent it to them if I really had any doubt, but what I was quite expecting was the amazing quality of the repair job that they did. If it weren’t for the fact that the color of the mesh material doesn’t quite match the color used by LLBean, I would not be able to tell that this was a custom repair. The stitching and detail is really that good – no photos are going to do it justice! As a reminder, here’s how it looked before…
Here’s two close-ups of the repaired pocket in an attempt to show what a fantastic job Rainy Pass Repair did on this plain old jacket.
Not only did they do a great job repairing the pocket of my jacket, they shipped it back to me in what has to have been the neatest folding job of a rain jacket I have ever seen. I really wish I had taken a photo of that! You have to love traditional values and a company that takes great pride in the work they do.
If you have any backpacking gear that needs to be repaired, refreshed, or adjusted you should definitely take a look at the services offered by Rainy Pass Repair. They’re the real deal.
