Coffee Brewer Starter Kit Giveaway!

Grower's Cup Coffee Giveaway!

It seems that my recent blog post about the the Grower’s Cup trail coffee pouches has created quite a stir (pun intended) among the outdoor and backpacking community and for very good reason. In fact you may want to brace yourself for a flurry of new blog reviews being posted in the coming weeks – I can’t wait to see what others think of the coffee and how easy the pouches are to use.

While many of my fellow bloggers are hitting the trails, brewing coffee, taking photos and writing their reviews of the CoffeeBrewer pouches, I would like to offer one lucky reader of Brian’s Backpacking Blog with an exclusive opportunity to win a complete CoffeeBrewer starter kit.

Grower's Cup Coffee Giveaway!

Be the Envy of Your Friends
My good friends at Grower’s Cup have kindly provided me with one of each of the delicious coffee blend’s that they offer as well as one of their EasyServe plastic holders that make carrying and pouring the brewed coffee pouches safe and easy. You will not be able to win these pouches anywhere else right now :)

Grower's Cup Coffee Giveaway!

This is your chance to be one of the very first people to get your hands on this amazing trail-friendly coffee. I guarantee that you will be the envy of your backpacking friends and instantly popular if you brew up one of these pouches and share a hot cup of coffee with your trail buddies on your next trip.

How to Enter
I’d really like to show the folks at Grower’s Cup how much we all appreciate them providing these samples for the giveaway and that we can’t wait for these pouches to be available in the US. I’d also personally like to get a sense of what your favorite blend would be if you were ordering these pouches online. I know it’s hard to pick a favorite blend without having tasted them, but you can probably make a determination just after reading the descriptions of the various blends. So here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to the Grower’s Cup Facebook page, ‘like’ them and post the following phrase:
I’m in it to win it! Brian’s Backpacking Blog sent me
  2. Cast your vote on my Facebook Coffee blend poll – so that I can see what blend you would most like to try (hint – there may be a follow up prize associated with this)
  3. That’s it, easy right?

Remember – you must do both of these things to be eligible. I will use Random.org to pick a winner from all of the eligible entries on Monday, April 30th. That gives you roughly two weeks to qualify! For those of you that do not have a Facebook account (and continue to hold out), shoot me an email and I’ll get you entered. And as always, if you’re active duty military and deployed and are unable to complete the entry methods above, simply shoot me an e-mail and I’ll get ya entered in too.

I wish there would be giveaways away from Facebook.  I hate the thing.

Did you not read the part that said: “For those of you that do not have a Facebook account (and continue to hold out), shoot me an email and I’ll get you entered.”I can’t get any fairer than that – geesh.

Two weeks?  Man, I have to remember I entered something for that long?

    • http://www.briangreen.net Brian Green

Oh hey thanks for reminding me that you won recently, that should disqualify you this time right? Just kidding, yup two weeks of pain and anguish – but it will be a very happy ending for one lucky person :)

Besides, there’s a possibility of a follow up prize on the poll, maybe…?

Sounds like a great outdoor coffee. We tried Dr. Drip a while back and was doing a review for our blog. I think they’ve gone out of business though. So another good outdoor coffee would be great.

    • http://www.briangreen.net Brian Green

Tim, was the Dr Drip coffee good tasting at least?

      • http://www.appalachiaandbeyond.com Tim

As a matter of fact it was good. Usually we just bring instant with us when we camp but having the drip coffee was superb. Just bummed they went out of business.

I’d rather know of a US store that sells them than genuflecting to yet another giveaway. The best I’ve been able to find is a UK camping company that couldn’t correctly bill my debit card which got a block put on by usbank.

    • http://www.briangreen.net Brian Green

Brad, no worshiping needed here. Simply don’t play along and that’s fine. But think about the bigger picture for a second…

A relatively new company is trying to establish themselves in the US market, it’s a huge opportunity for them and they have a kick-ass product. They have limited funding but decide to go with a grassroots marketing and awareness campaign using well established bloggers to get the word out.

That in turn stimulates interest, creates awareness and demand and allows them to work with US-based distributors who can buy the products in large enough quantities to support all of the smaller retails stores that in turn lets you buy your CoffeeBrewer pouches at REI or CampSaver or wherever.

If helping a company to grow and expand to the US market to serve your particular needs is below you, as you suggest, then that’s a shame in my opinion. All I’m asking you to do is to help their Facebook page grow and give them some free user feedback on what might be their most popular blends for the US. I didn’t think that was too much to ask… ^BG

      • Brad

Really that’s what you got out of my reply?

Let me try again – It would be better for this company if they/you could provide a working link to a online retailer that sells there product ~ which technically isn’t your fault or job but it would be nice.

I am more than happy and capable of buying there products which does them far more good than a one time giveaway.

The issue is they have almost no market prescience and the two UK retailers I tried to buy it from for way to much money couldn’t process my bank debit card or my Chase MasterCard which makes supporting the company a bit hard.

Being an X Fire Fighter, I have drank my share of coffee over the yrs. I have cut back to 2 cups a day these days, but sure enjoy them. Thanks for giving us a shot at this.

    • http://www.briangreen.net Brian Green

I feel you Jim. I’ve cut back (honestly I have) to one cup of coffee a day and I miss it terribly. Now I’m all about making that one cup of coffee be the best damn coffee I can have so I enjoy it as much as three cups! Good luck on the giveaway!
